Technical Info:
This key blank is for locks manufactured by the Unican Lock Company in Montreal Canada and is now Capitol Industries.
The original keys were stamped with a code that either started with DF or U and were used on cabinets, office furniture, showcases and on Simplex Combination locks to access the inside of the lock to change the combination.
The original keys are stamped out, not machined like regular key blanks and will tip in the vice jaw, straighten out a large paper clip and insert it into the groove on the key to prevent it from tipping.
